    west elm tomorrow!

Alethea and I will be slingin' stems and throwing out arranging tips at the Studio Choo pop up shop in West Elm Emeryville again tomorrow from 10-3! We've got peonies, lilac, LILY OF THE VALLEY, garden roses, honeysuckle, and a whole crew of our other favorites! We'd love to meet you so come by and say hi. Maybe bring us a treat or something. Since I was attending the Kinfolk brunch last Saturday, I wasn't able to take any photos of Alethea and Wendy in action...but the lovely Esme was nice enough to swing by and take these photos for us. Thanks Esme!

    help wanted

Prairie Collective is seeking an amazing part-time employee to help out at the shop on the weekends!

If you didn't know it already...we are three friends who share a storefront in the Nopa/Lower Haight area of San Francisco. We sell jewelry, items for the home, flower arrangements and plants, and other handmade objects. We are looking for a really friendly person who is also great at selling things to work at the shop every Saturday and two Fridays a month. We’d like you to enjoy talking to customers (lots of local regulars as well as destination shoppers from out of town) and educating them about our products and shop. You should be good at problem solving and working independently as we are often away from the shop with events on the weekends. Responsible and reliable too. Past retail experience is preferred. (store hours are 12-6, $13 per hour)

Please send an email with cover letter in the body and resume attachment to prairiecollective@gmail.com...or even better to drop off in person at the shop in addition to emailing. Tell us why you are interested in working with us! We are hoping to set up interviews April 18-21 and start training on the 25th.

    Duties include:
    •Customer service
•Flowers– very basic floral care (previous floral experience helpful, but not necessary) PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A FLORAL DESIGN POSITION!
•Store upkeep– making sure displays continue to look their best, sweeping, mopping, light dishes, restocking merchandise, watering plants and checking water levels on flower displays, dusting shelves, making sure everything is priced, shipping, light paperwork/filing.
•Social networking– maintaining our various networking accounts (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), regular mailing list updates, and upcoming events calendar.

    behind the times

So I am a little behind on all this cool technology stuff. I just got an iphone and finally started playing with instagram yesterday, lost a few hours in there. It will be fun for the zillions of times I don't carry the big boy around. Find me @smallstump! And in other awesome news; Alethea's official first day back at work today! It has been a long three months without her.
