a bit of quiet

Valentine's Day was good and tiring. It seems I don't like taking photos of anything we send out or the craziness of the day before. We did mostly pre-orders this year and I liked that. I still feel tired and am really backed up on my proposals but am trying to stay mellow. Two weeks ago I had an emergency room visit that kind of changed my life and I am taking it easier on myself. But it's not easy.

I got out my watercolors and painted some cards for our orders last night. They look lovely with the valentine messages typed on our old-fashioned script typewriter. Tomorrow will be a long day I think.

Matt and I are off to Rhode Island tomorrow morning to visit my family and have some fun. I really need it! The Lab event on Saturday was awesome though I didn't take any photos- many amazing photographers were there doing their thing so we'll have some great shots in a bit. And no- the baby has not come out yet. See you in a week or so.

put on the breaks

Hiya. I am taking a break in January. The shop will be closed most of the month (we'll be open January 6-8 and 20-22). Alethea's baby is supposed to be coming real soon! Matt and I will be taking a trip east. Annabelle and her hub will be chasing the snow for a month. I hope to return fresh and full of hope for the new year.
