We will be talking shop and doing two flower arranging demonstrations at a book signing event in Berkeley this afternoon. After the talk, the arrangements will be raffled off and we'll be signing books and answering questions. Come meet us and maybe take home a beautiful arrangement- and your signed copy of The Flower Recipe Book!

mother's day...and another journey

We are headed out for the last bit of traveling on our book tour tomorrow- we are super excited to visit Portland and Seattle! Sign up for the events right here. We won't be doing any delivery orders this week for Mother's Day...BUT...we are super duper excited to have our lovely assistants making bouquets at the Heath Ceramics Open Studio weekend in Sausalito from 12-3pm. Maybe bring your favorite Mom over to the sale and let her pick out a beautiful Heath vessel (at 15% off!) and the girls will fill it with flowers? Maybe pick up a signed copy of our book and take a tour of the Heath factory? Sounds like fun to us!

We are hopping on a flight shortly to LA for the second West Elm workshop on The Flower Recipe Book tour. Here is some student work from the Emeryville West Elm Blogger's Workshop we did on Wednesday- pretty nice right? We have some special flowers to pick up from an urban rose farm in North Hollywood for you LA students! Come hang with us- it will be a good time.

We are heading to Texas this week for a series of book-related workshops so we won't be doing any flower orders. We are so excited to kick off The Flower Recipe Book festivities on Sunday at Macy's in San Francisco! Then we are off on a multi-city tour of Texas with a series of workshops at Central Markets, a stop at Book People, capped off by a flower crown workshop and cocktail party with Feliz in Austin! photographers and farm

So we made a book last year. It was a lot of work and we didn't know what we were doing when we started. We worked in a crowded garage with surfaces that were too small, crooked backdrops, a giant plastic windbreak that whipped violently in the South City wind. Every week for months. But we had awesome flowers and an AMAZING photographer and we turned all those things into a book we are very proud of. We pretty much fell in love with Paige Green and could never have made our book without her. Her personality is as beautiful as her photography.
