I picked up (and picked as in cut them myself!!) some beautiful Oakland-grown flowers yesterday. Go check out the pop-up foods event at Pizzaiolo tomorrow and maybe meet the lovely sister team behind this awesome flower project. The girls use sustainable growing practices to plant up empty lots in West Oakland with beautiful wild flowers. The zinnias are ta die faw.
